Using a collection of curated prompts and poses, UNSCRIPTED is an app for photographers to create authentic moments, helping you to capture natural movement and raw emotion from your couples.
No phone reception needed, and no more messy prompt cards. Just one easy-to-use interface which allows you to quickly find inspiration in a pinch! Browse poses based on how your couple are positioned such as standing, walking or sitting or simply browse text-based prompts for an easy ice breaker!
Why I made UNSCRIPTED - I'm a photographer just like you, and I made this app for these reasons:
Photoshoots can be awkward and couples need guidance:
Unless your couple are models, they likely won’t know how to give you that legitimate laughter or raw emotion you’re looking for without a little guidance. After getting through my main poses, I frequently found myself saying, “Now interact with each other, pretend I’m not here.” While that worked for some couples, generally they'd awkwardly stare at one another for a few moments then back at me looking for direction again. I realized that the trick was to keep them constantly moving and interacting with each other which requires constant direction and prompting.
Gone are the days of stiff poses:
“unposed prompts” recently became a big trend in the photography community, and for a good reason, they make room for real reactions so you can capture the couple for who they really are and elicit real laughter and genuine emotion!
Prompt cards are expensive:
While they’re great, prompt cards have their pain-points too. Not only are they pricey, but I found them logistically challenging. I frequently dropped them or wasted time flipping through them, trying to figure out which ones I hadn’t used yet and which would suit my couples personality and fit in with the way they were currently positioned.
This frustrations is what brought me to create the UNSCRIPTED app which allows me to memorise and easily browse poses and prompts which work well together in a quick visual way.
Photographers need visual inspo:
I, like most of you am a highly visual person so I wanted a to create a quick reference that would prompt me visually to remember how to direct my couples. I wanted to be able to sort through poses based on how my couple were positioned, such as standing, sitting or walking as well as different prompt ideas that were organized by intensity levels such as 'fun' or 'romantic.'
